i've come through a lot since i left and now it just seems so petty and simple, almost childish.

the funny thing is i saw this behaviour in some young (late teens) jws i met at work recently.

in some way i just feet like shouting grow up.. i was wondering did any of you who left the jws and got your life sorted out without them ever wonder what it was that had such a hold on you for all the years in the first place?

How much of the problems are down to 'the system'?

jw's love to dis the system in their usual caring way.

personally i had little respect for 'the system' as a jw.

i was told it was evil and it was going to be destroyed because it is controlled by the devil.

Anyone heard of a 'JW complex' in London?

i've heard there is or going to be a complex for jw's in london with a number of building for co's and the like and a few kh's i think.

How more vague can the society get at the assemblies?

his is a quote from the give god glory district convention showing how they avoid their own questions and provide the usual vague answers that no jw understands.

we don't want to be personally refuting these untruths unless jehovah's organisation assigned us to do that, publicly.

now, are we talking people in our ministry or elsewhere about points about what they have heard, read?

it has been a while since i posted for advice but i haven't had a cig now in 6 weeks.

cheers for everyones helpful advice.

the best advice has been just to recognise that i had a problen -that i was dependant rather than just not thinking about it.

the elders have received my da letter.

i was going to post it but they didnt have a mail box so i decided to hand it in personally.

i headed off to the kh after the meeting had started.

glad to say my internet connection is still up, my parents phoned to disconnect it on monday but its still going.. i havent officially dad yet but it will happen within the next few weeks.

i will also be sending the da letter to all my immediate family.

as soon as they announce my da my parents will be chucking me out but are helping me get sorted for my flat.

i was just talking to my niece the other day - she's the daughter to my jw sister.

she was telling me about what she believes.

she got talking about birthdays etc, so i told her my point of view.
